2019, The Stone That Wished It Was Air

'The Stone That Wished It Was Air', Was made while exploring the perceived line between violence and the exertion of force. Through this work Sivan is exploring a philosophical notion, that to exist is to exert force - We are inevitably forceful towards our environment as we disrupt the way things are with every action we perform. It is this violence which exists as a force of creation in these works - a penetrating gaze into the wider role of violence in context to ideas of personal agency.
